Gunawan Maryanto, born in Jogjakarta, April 10, 1976, is a director, an actor and a writer. He’s been getting involved in most of important works of Teater Garasi, whether as a writer or an actor. He’s published many fictional books and got a Khatulistiwa Literary Award for his poetry book, Sejumlah Perkutut BUat Bapak (2010). Since 2010, he and Joned Suryatmoko and Lusia Neti have been running Indonesia Dramatic Reading Festival. The last movie in which he played a role is Istirahatlah Kata-Kata, directed by Yosep Anggi Noen.
